Update...

Sooo...Its been a few weeks since I last updated, there is not enough time in the day to get everything done I need to, including blogging....

Alot has happend in these few weeks...I'll start with Tornados

Wednesday April 27, 2011 will be a day I'll never forget. I had to work that morning and I'm normally rollin gout on bed late but that morning I had woke up at 4am and I began watching the weather move in, I was kinda nervous about it but I went ahead and got ready to hurry and beat the rain. I droppeD Casen off at Nene's and headed straight to my parents home. I had a bad feeling about it all so I told them to please go get Casen and get somewhere safe if it started to get bad. I got to work and of course the worse happens, tornado sirens and we got the call to move patients our and that ONLY happens if we are in the direct path, I then phoned Mom and she informed me she was headed to get Casen and was meeting Dustin at the Storm Shelter "PRAISE JESUS" my parents have never left their home for a storm before! So I sit in report patiently waiting to hear from my family and praying for all of our safety b/c lets face it 4th floor in a hospital is not the place to be in a tornado. Finally I had a call from mom they were heading home, they knew their house ad been hit but did not know the extent of damage, I immediatly began crying....The good lord above activated my motherly instincts and kept my family safe!!!! Mom and dads place is fine, only minor damage...Kinda seems like nothing compared to what some are going through. Through out the day we dodged Tornado after Tornado...Actual witnessed one on the Mountain behind the hospital. I didn't get to leave work till 9 or so. Super scary drive home, I was so ready to get home and love on my boys! It seemed as if It had been a week since I saw them. The power went out and we didnt get power back until Sunday night, it wasn't too bad we grilled out and spent lots of quality family time. Little did I know in the midst of this I had lost a dear friend Blake Peek due to a Tornado in Tuscaloosa, he was one of a kind and will be truly missed. Please continue to pray for these people, they have a long road ahead of them.

NOW lets talk about Sweet Casen, he is getting So So big. Still not walking, Not sure why he's been trying since 8 months, but thats ok he will get it. He's into everything I mean everything. We went to the beach the 1st week in May it was ok. Casen started teething so he didn't feel the best and he absolutely hated the beach, so not much beach time for mommy. We did however manage to get lots of Shopping time in! I had a wonderful 2nd Mothers Day, it was spent driving home from the beach. My boys mean the world to me!

How to Raise a Jerk

Saw this on another Blog and I couldn't agree more. So I had to post it!

Here are a few ideas to help you effectively raise a jerk:
  • Protect them from the consequences of their own mistakes.
  • Make sure you do whatever they can do for themselves.
  • Keep them away from anyone who thinks differently than they do.
  • Try to give them everything they want.
  • Tell them over and over again you just want them to be happy.
  • Convince them that they are more special than other kids.
  • Always take their side when they get in trouble with their teacher at school.
  • Always take their side whenever they are in a conflict with a friend.
  • Keep insisting that they are the best player on the team.
  • Don’t give them consistent opportunities to help or serve other people.
  • Never require them to do chores.
  • Reinforce their prejudices about people from different cultures or backgrounds.
  • Make your relationship with them more important than your relationship with your spouse.
  • Rarely express genuine gratitude to those who help you.
  • Teach them to talk more than they listen.
  • Never let them hear you say “I was wrong. I am sorry.”
Maybe you can add a few ideas of your own… on how to raise a jerk.

Dad...Dad...DAD...

Dad is Casens new word, Where he came up with it I don't know. He normally calls Dustin Daddy/Dadda...Its hilarious! Dustin says he's to young and already be calling him Dad lol. It must be his fav new word, its all I've heard the past few days, first thing when he wakes up its DAD. Yesterday we carried him to County Park to feed the Ducks, no luck there the seagulls or whatever they are have taken over and stole all the ducks food. He still liked looking at them though.
